he design of a book's
pages is just as important to potential buyers as the design of
the cover. The wrong combination of typefaces, improper leading
or spacing, or poor or confusing layout can all distract from
the reader's experience. A poorly-designed page can make even
the best writing seem pedestrian. But a well-designed page gives
a book that professional edge that sets it apart.
If you don't have a full-time typesetter, or if your graphic designers
haven't got the time to devote to a lengthy book project, consider
outsourcing your typesetting to East Hill Page Composition
and Design. We'll turn your raw manuscripts into professionally-designed,
great-looking books.
ur rates are based
on the project -- not on how long it takes us to do it. While
you can be assured that projects will be completed in a timely
and efficient manner, we won't make you pay extra when we work
extra hours. You'll know upfront what your costs will be.
We can help you develop a design for your book, work to your editorial
specifications, or match an existing design.
All manuscripts are prepared on Macintosh computers using QuarkXPress
or Adobe InDesign, the two most popular and widely-used
typesetting software packages in the publishing industry. We use
Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Photoshop for any
necessary image manipulation.
Your finished manuscript will be delivered to you as a printer-ready
PDF file. We can also provide native QuarkXpress or InDesign files,
or even a paper copy if you wish. All completed files can be returned
to you on dual-platform CD-ROM.
